Last Updated: 15-11-2025
This Cancellation Policy governs the terms, conditions, procedures, and consequences relating to the cancellation or termination of services provided by ekanostudio. This Policy applies globally to all clients, customers, subscribers, and contracting entities, irrespective of geographic location, unless otherwise required by mandatory local law.
By engaging our services, making any payment, or continuing to use our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Cancellation Policy in full.
1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The purpose of this Policy is to clearly define the circumstances under which services may be cancelled, the process for requesting cancellation, and the legal and financial consequences that arise as a result of cancellation. This Policy applies to all service engagements, including but not limited to one-time projects, ongoing service contracts, retainers, subscriptions, consulting arrangements, advisory services, pilot projects, and phased or milestone-based services.
2. DEFINITIONS
“Cancellation” means the termination of services prior to completion of the agreed scope of work.
“Commencement of Services” means the point at which any planning, preparation, consultation, resource allocation, research, advisory work, or system access begins.
“Written Notice” means a formal communication submitted via email or another documented medium capable of record retention.
3. GENERAL CANCELLATION PRINCIPLE
Services provided by ekanostudio are professional, customized, and resource-intensive. Accordingly, cancellation is not an automatic right and does not imply entitlement to refunds. Cancellation does not relieve the Client of financial or contractual obligations incurred prior to cancellation.
4. CLIENT-INITIATED CANCELLATION
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. Verbal communication, informal messages, or inactivity do not constitute valid cancellation.
If cancellation occurs before commencement of services, ekanostudio may consider the request at its sole discretion. Administrative, onboarding, consultation, and planning costs may still apply.
If cancellation occurs after commencement of services, no refunds shall be issued. All payments made remain non-refundable and any outstanding invoices become immediately due.
5. SUBSCRIPTION AND RETAINER SERVICES
For subscription or retainer-based services, cancellation prevents future billing only. No refunds are issued for partially used billing periods. Services remain active until the end of the current billing cycle unless otherwise agreed in writing.
6. COMPANY-INITIATED CANCELLATION
ekanostudio reserves the right to cancel services in cases of non-payment, breach of agreement, misuse of services, unlawful activity, or abusive conduct. In such cases, no refunds shall be issued and outstanding payments remain payable.
7. EFFECT OF CANCELLATION
Upon cancellation, access to services or deliverables may be restricted. ekanostudio is under no obligation to complete unfinished work or provide proprietary materials unless contractually required.
8. THIRD-PARTY COSTS
All third-party costs incurred on behalf of the Client remain non-refundable and are the Client’s responsibility.
9. FORCE MAJEURE
Events beyond reasonable control do not entitle the Client to refunds or compensation.
10. SURVIVAL
Payment obligations, confidentiality, intellectual property rights, and liability limitations survive cancellation.
